I must say I was impressed by the AT& T service people.
I took my phone which was not working to Cellular Concepts in Wayne PA. After looking at the phone he wrote a referral to the AT& T repair center. I did not have insurance on the phone and the the touch screen was not working. It lit up, but no visual -- not good!
With Referral in hand I went to King of Prussia the Warner Road repair center. I was seen in 2 minutes and had a replacement phone with in 15 minutes. I was still under warranty and now with the replacement device they have added an extra 90 days warranty on the back end of the 1 yr warranty. Wow.
Although they were not able to save phone memory items, the data from the SIM card was transferred cleanly. Luckily did do a sync to my computer before going so all my contact data and numbers were transferred to the computer.

It has been way too long since my last post here. The real estate market on the main line is heating up. More houses are on the market every day and it seems the sellers are understanding the situation and pricing their houses reasonably.
I just had a buyer loose out on a home which was on the market more than 150 days. Another offer showed up just days before we were able to make our offer. The sun is coming out from behind the clouds.
The 6th grade had their choral performance a week or so ago and it was a lot of fun. They even did peter piper and a Beatles tune -- how modern!! or are we just getting that old. I did watch "Help" the other night with my girls and it still had enough zany quality to it to hold their interest and confuse them with what was happening. " Why are they skiing now? " " Why are they in the Bahamas now? " all valid questions. Definitely this one is worth another viewing. I can't wait to watch "Yellow Submarine" with them.

Vacation Homes
Wow,
Just recovering from the 24 hour bug that is running around. You know the one, the kind that makes your hair hurt. What a great feeling it is when it is over.
As to Real Estate stuff, Here is a link to an article about vacation home purchases and what characteristics are important if you are thinking of renting your home when you are not using it.

Gifts that mean something
I received a gift today from a friend. It was a little note that said "A month of heating oil has been purchased in you name by us for a family in need." I thanked the person for two reasons, one it was a good idea and two for recognizing I have plenty and there are many people who do not. This was much better and it still showed I was important enough in my friend's life to be remembered at this time

First steps
SCRAPS from the Main Line - is to be a blog about life on the Main Line centered on Real Estate, family life and lots of related items. Some Philosophy, some humor( hopefully ) and maybe even some calls for action.
My name is Tom Lowy
Current Career is REALTOR on the Main Line centered in Wayne PA. I have been in this career since 2002. Previously was in the IT field working in both small and medium business.

My wife of 13 years Elizabeth, two daughters Susanna 11 and Natasha 8 plus our dog Maya comprise our immediate family. I do not count Woody the Guinea Pig as a real member as he is hardly out of his cage.
This is Susanna, Maya and Natasha. I am sure you will see them again and again here as i am a proud father.
This days first post ends now, as I have to go help with homework, teacher conference and Susanna's soccer practice.
